STP 2023 will officially begin with arrival on Friday. Thursday arrival is fine and a larger number than expected are arriving on Thursday.
The cost per person is $35. This includes a 2023 Smell the Pines t-shirt. This fee will begin to be collected prior to retreat on Friday with the t-shirts handed out at that time. If you arrive after that time you can pay when you arrive.
NOTE: from the time the senior scouts arrive on Saturday afternoon there will be no adult beverages allowed in camp.
If you plan to arrive on Thursday be aware of the following. We need a good count for meal planning so make sure you know what you’re doing. You may be asked to volunteer to help with some of the camp setup. This includes Friday morning and especially the food delivery arrival.
There’s some changes at camp that will affect some of the program. The kitchen is undergoing a major update. It should be ready but it may present some rough spots to work out. Normally a large food delivery arrives on Thursday. Not this year, it arrives on Friday. While we generally have a festive dinner on Friday night it will have to be on Saturday night this time. Regardless Joe Murphy and the kitchen staff will cook up something memorable for Friday night.
As in the past Friday afternoon will be spent with professional animal trackers. We’ve done this at every STP. They’re good and you’ll learn to see things you’ve never noticed. Well worth the effort to get there for this. There will be two sessions.
Music. Music is the soul of camp. Troop 25 has had more than it’s share of outstanding musicians over the years and we need you for STP. Heed the call…please.

- The donation to be requested to cover our costs will be required no matter when you as a registered attendee arrive. So show up early and get your money’s worth.
- The amount of the requested donation is $35. Most food items have gone up.
- Payments can be made at STP just prior to retreat on Friday night and then anytime after that.
