Mt. Cardigan will be the hike destination this year. Those who know say it’s a more interesting hike, is less crowded, possibly cooler temperature, and an easier hike than Mt. Monadnock.
Lunch will have to be brought along and it won’t be made at camp. On Friday an order will be placed for sandwiches. Departure time from camp will be about 9:00am. Subject to change of course.
The entire hike will be about 5 miles but I’m sure we can find a way to make it 10. It’s not difficult. What’s not difficult? Neither the hike nor turning it into a 10 miler through one bad decision or another.
The summit is bare of vegetation and offers very good views. There’s also a fire tower there as well.
